Vegetable and herb seeds germinate best at a temperature of around +20°C. If it’s still too cold outside, the seeds can be sown indoors in a seed tray. Once it is warm enough, the seed trays can be moved outdoors. This is easy thanks to the practical size and two handles. Our stacking bins in the dimensions 400 x 300 mm and 600 x 400 mm with heights of 75 mm or 120 mm are ideal as seed trays. They are made of sturdy plastic, making them less fragile than seed trays made of thin plastic. They can be used for many years without any issues. Additionally, the material of the seed trays is food-safe.

From seed tray to vegetable garden

Once the seeds have grown into small plants, they can be repotted or planted in the vegetable garden. A space-saving alternative to traditional vegetable gardens is a vegetable garden in stacking bins. This method, known as crate gardening, does not require much space.
